The swim team end of season banquet was last night. Cie earned recognition as the "Most Improved Boy 10 and Under". It is a very nice plaque. He is very happy. He is leaning toward competing in winter swim team over basketball.
In health care news, "Following a blow from the Congressional Budget Office, Democratic leaders in Congress likely will make the case this week that the healthcare reform plan has multiple benefits and cost savings that cannot be scored by independent accountants." (

In other words, nevermind how much this is going to cost, we promise it will be better than Medicare. Pinky swear.

Swim championships were this morning. Cie took first place in his heat on two (25 meter breaststroke & 25 meter freestyle) of the three races he competed it. Last Sunday, Cie (10) bumped up a division and competed in the 11-12 age division of the Troy Kids Triathlon. He placed second overall.

National heal th care sounds great, doesn't it? One state has already enacted a government health care system.
Click here to read the USA Today article. FYI, the state is grossly over-budget and it is a disaster. As for the Obama plan, independent/nonpartisan fact checking groups are politely calling the president a liar.

Washington insider, Jamie Dupree is going through "cap and trade" with a fine tooth comb. He found something very interesting. Click
here for his review. The short version: cap and trade is going to cost the U.S. a LOT of jobs. The bill will cost us so many jobs that Social Security and Medicare (loss of payroll taxes) will not likely be able to continue without additional funding.
At what point will these points start to slip into the minds of the masses? Does anyone care?

I discovered this classic match pitting the British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith) against the Rock N Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson). I used to love both of these teams. I had no idea that they every squared off.
