NEWS & NOTES

JULY 2001

2001.07.27 - Congratulations to Shark Dorsel. I wonder if we will see a kinder and gentler 'cult leader' now. Shark is used to hardcore. So, being whipped shouldn't hurt too much.

It was nice to chat with Sherman Tank and "The Rugby Thug" Trent Baker. It was quite amusing to watch Drew Hanson run around in DJ-mode. Overall, a good time was had by all.

In other news, the work out schedule continued to reek havoc this week. I worked out 5 times in 4 days. My body is fatigued. I am looking forward to several days of rest.

2001.07.19 - This is serving as a transition week for Mark Mattis. I do not plan to wrestle this weekend. In the past month alone, I worked 10 matches for 3 promotions. That is by no means a staggering number but it is a step in the right direction.

As stated previously, this is a transition week. I am not laying around eating 'cheesy poofs'. I have already made it to the gym 4 times this week. This is the perfect time to take my work out schedule to the next level.

2001.07.16 - Several new photos have been added to the media section. The photos feature (ECW) New Jack and (WCW) Horace Hogan. The media section has been broken down into several pages now to speed up the rate at which pages load.

This weekend The Fraternity (myself and Zach Avery) faced The Repeat Offenders (Homicide and Vandal) in tag team action. Have you heard the phrase, "cheaters never win"? Well, they dispelled that myth. But, it is ok. Because when they wake up this morning and look in the mirror they will quickly remember how talentless and pathetic they truly are. One cheap victory does not erase the fact that they are still dual action pillow biters.

2001.07.10 - The results section of the NWA Wv/OH website has been updated to include the 6/22 tv taping in which I particiapted. Additionally, photos from the event have also been added. Several photos from my match against Al B. Damm can be viewed - http://www.nwawvohio.com/.

A new photo has been placed on the 'main' page displaying me with the IWA Internet Championship. The 'bio' page has also been updated. I have been invited to attend the PCW company picnic this weekend. PCW is a promotion filled with flat-out, genuinely nice people.

2001.07.08 - The IWA turned it up a notch last night. I can honestly say that was far and away the best effort I have seen put forth. Additionally, I picked up the Internet Championship from The Holy Man. The tournament matches and title defenses will appear online at http://www.IWAwrestling.com.

2001.07.05 - I returned to the NWA for two wonderful shows. It is a great place to work.
Congratulations to Fabulous Frederick of Hollywood on capturing the NWA Wv/Oh title.

2001.07.02 - Results from the (2001.06.28) IWA Chillocothe show were posted at www.WrestlingObserver.com on Friday. (Thanks Denny)

Congratulations to the Bullies of the Playground, Zero Tolerance for capturing the IWA Tag Team titles.
