Going back about a decade for this one. How is that possible?
Hey, aint life wonderful?
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...
Isnt it wonderful now?

I close my eyes when I get too sad
I think thoughts that I know are bad
Close my eyes and I count to ten
Hope its over when I open them.

...

Some days I hate everything
I hate everything
Everyone and everything
Please dont tell me everything is wonderful now...

Lance Storm wrote a GREAT column about Indy wrestling. Click here to read the column. There are lot of HORRIBLE indy wrestlers who are permitted to get in the ring simply because they will work for free.

I am selling a couple of items on eBay. I have a Cactus Jack - new - still factory sealed - DVD. Click here to bid. Likewise, I have a Booker T. - new - still factory sealed - DVD. Click here to view the item. Both of thtese DVDs are from the "Before They Were Stars" genre. They are indy-tastic.

I was able to spend some time outside playing with the boy over the weekend. And yes, we do have a football goal post in our backyard. What? Stop looking at me like that.

mini-mattis goal is to one day be the quarterback for the ohio bobcats football team Since my twin daughters were born in August - my trips to the gym have been few and far between. It has felt like every time I start to build momentum - something comes along that puts everything on hold.

Originally, last summer, I planned to leave the ring from the time the girls were born until November/December. I figured that by the time we were four or five months into our schedule - climbing back in the ring would not be a challenge. Well, November/December got bumped to January. Now, it is March and I finally think a return to the ring is possible.

Physically, I feel 'ok'. I have been getting in the gym with some frequency. I have been steadily increasing the amount of weight I am pushing and pulling. My energy level is steadily increasing as well.

I have spoken with a few promoters. I am weighing my options. At this point, I really don't want to be in the ring every weekend. Those days are in the past. I want to have fun with my friends. I want to be in front of a decent-sized crowd. I want to be in matches of value.

A few years, Mini-Mattis wrestling coach made a comment that has stuck with me. He said, "It is tough to look him and remember - that is a 5-year-old."

Flash forward to today, young Cie Mattis recently turned eight-years-old. How did that happen? Where has the time gone? Physically and mentally he is exploding. His understanding of the world around him grows with each passing day. Physically, he has reached that point where people who have not seen in a few months deliver the, "Gosh, I didn't realize that was him. He has grown and changed so much."

Cie is more than half way through second grade. He is gearing up for baseball season. He is looking forward to running in the Gridiron Gallop 5K for the second year in a row. As one friend recently pointed out, "His motor never - never stops running."

I am not lifting heavy right now. More than anything, I am trying to increase my flexability. I am getting closer and closer to firing up the OTC (Omega Training Compound).

Quote of the week: (Del Preston) So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether.

I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.

1 of my girls I have discovered something WAY more boring than washing dishes... watching someone else wash dishes. More specifically, I taught Mini-Mattis how to wash dishes. I swear it took close to 30-minutes for him to wash roughly ten cups and a few bowls. Suddenly, a 5-minute Riot Squad match almost seems watchable... I said almost.
