We have been snowed in for the better part of two weeks. I had plenty of opportunities to watch one of my favorite videos.

The Winter Olympics have been fun to watch. Seeing the United States do so well in the medal count could lead creadence to the thought of "American Exceptionalism". But, that would just be crazy talk.
Staying active in the winter in Ohio can be tough. We are finding ways. To the right is a video of some of the things we are working on in the weight room this winter. In addition to work in the weight room, it is great to get outside when possible.
In January, we completed the Splash N Dash (1,000 yard swim & 3.1 mile run). We also competed in the first ever Lebanon Winter Duathlon (2 mile run, 6 mile mountain bike, 2 mile run). The Duathlon was all through muddy, slippery trails. It was a thoroughly exhausting experience.
In addition to strength & conditioning, our 10-year-old son is taking swim lessons and playing basketball. The team had their first game this past Saturday. He is currently serving as point guard for the team. He finished with 8 points and 5 assists en route to a 28-7 victory.
As far as accolades go, we each have recieved our HFP Sprint Triathlon Series Championship plaques. My wife and I each took 2nd place in our divisions. Cie took first place in the 14 and under age group.
Cie also posted another milestone in January. He was the first overall finisher at the
Lebanon Winter Duathlon.
