NEWS & NOTES

I spent all day in Chillicothe, Ohio. My wife and son were there for
GOBA. We had a fun day. We had IHOP for breakfast. We went swimming. One of my 5 year old daughters went off if the low-dive approximately 50 times and swam to the ladder on her own. Then, we visited a World War I Camp Sherman site. From there, we toured the
Hopewell Indian Mounds. Then, we had dinner and watched
Men In Black 3.

Happy Father's Day!
My wife has given me the same father's day gift for the past few years... she leave. Hahaha. Seriously though, she does. This year, again, she and our son are riding in
GOBA. The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure kicked off this morning in Hillsboro, Ohio. They rode approximately 40 miles to Chillicothe which is where they are spending the night, in a tent. Next, they will ride to Washington Court House. From there, I think they ride to Wilmington. Anyway, they will log 400 miles on their bikes this week. God bless them.
So, I am left with our 5-year-old twin daughters for the week. We slept in. Then, we went to Red Robin for lunch. I love Red Robin. But, what I had about these trips that my wife goes on is... the staff at Red Robin had that, "Oh, the dead beat dad has his kids for Father's Day. Let's spit in his food." look on their face. It is no use to attempt to explain. Plus, I am sporting a beard right now. So, I look more trashy than usual.
After lunch, we saw
Madagascar 3. It was exactly what you would expect from a movie featuring talking animals flying a plane. The movie was filled with mindless antics that left things open for another sequel. The girls were entertained. We straight up killed the large popcorn. Word.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will notice that Madagascar is not the worst movie I have seen this year. The bottom spot is reserved for Star Wars: Episode 1 in 3D. If for some reason you do not understand how I feel about The Phantom Menace, please watch the
Red Letter Media review. He does a great job of summing up the horrid-ness of that film.

I was clicking through YouTube and found a cool video from last summer -
The Rise of Quesazilla. The special effects are wicked awesome. Quesazilla wrestles for
Bizarro Live Wrestling. It is one of my goals to see "it" wrestle before the end of the year.
I attended the
DCW event in Springfield, Oh a couple of weeks ago. It was great to catch up with old friends and connect with some young wrestlers. My son, @BeastieMattis attended as well. I thought it was a good show. It was well-paced and had solid action. The match with Vandall, Tommy Blaze, and Big Jim was a great main event. @BeastieMattis said his favorite match was Alexander Drago vs. Man-A-Taur. I posted some photos of Man-A-Taur here because it is a cool look. God bless him.
Week #2 of summer break is upon us. I slept in until 7:30 this morning. It was amazing. Not amazing was staying up until 1:00 am cleaning up raccoon remains.
On Saturday night, a raccoon got into our garage killed and ate my 5-year-old daughter's kitten. The kitten was adorable. Last night, I had the garage door closed by 9:00pm. It was not even dark out. I unwittingly locked the raccoon in the garage with 2 small kittens. Around 11 pm, we were getting ready for bed and heard a ruckus coming from the garage.
Naturally, I sent my wife to investigate. She freaked out. She saw the raccoon. I grabbed our fireplace poker, 70lb hunting dog, and headed to the garage in my pajamas. I backed the raccoon into a corner. My wife checked to make sure the kittens were ok. Then, we called our neighbor. It is a good neighbor that you can call and wake up at 11pm. He loaded up his shotgun and came over. A minute later he placed a bullet through the skull of the raccoon. Actually, he shot it through the shoulder/chest. But, it sounds cooler to say he put the bullet through the coons skull. The neighbor went home and went back to bed. My wife and I cleaned up raccoon goo.
Hopefully, since we aced a big coon, our street cred will soar and there won'ts bees no moes troubles from the masked bandits. Yo.

Summer is upon us. I don't think it has sunk in yet. It is a Saturday morning and I am on my own. The wife and boy were up at 5am. They packed up the bikes and headed out for a ride. They were undecided as to whether they were going to ride 32 miles or 64 miles. Thanks anyway, I will have another cup of coffee and surf the internet in my pajamas.
Last Monday, I hooked up with Black and Blue Crew buddy,
Cyrus Poe. It was great to hang out and catch up. Cyrus told me about
Bizarro Live Wrestling. It sounds awesome.
Lord willing, I am planning to head to Springfield tonight to watch
DCW. I am hoping to catch up with some old friends.
Last month, Bull Miller celebrated his 50th birthday at the IWA event in Chillicothe, OH. Congrats to Bull. Consider this a belated happy birthday wish. Rok Wyler is the
IWA Heavyweight Champion. It is kind of cool to see a guy I knew 12 years ago still plugging away.
