mini omega 2004.12.22
Quick recap of this past weekend:
Saturday, Cyrus and I decided to attend the IWA Night of Champions 2 event. I drove 2 hours to get to his house. Then, it was another hour or so to get to Crooksville. It took us awhile to find the building. We finally found the building and parked. We snuck into the building - avoiding contact with all of the wrestlers. We looked around. Neither one of us really wanted to be there. We snuck back to the car. We left. I ended up getting home at about 1 AM.

On Sunday, I was up at 7 AM. My son wrestled in his first meet. He is only 5 years old. They placed in a bracket with all 6-year-olds. His first match was brutal. He fell behind 11-4. Then, mini-omega got mad. Mini-omega nearly won the match. His comeback bid fell short as he lost 16-15. Once he was fired up, there was no stopping him. Mini-omega rolled through his next opponent. The score was 14-1 when the referee stopped the match in the 2nd period. Mini-omega ended up 2-1 on the day with a 2nd place finish in his bracket. Click here for a 12-second clip from Mini-omegas first match.

I want to extend a heartfelt "Happy Holidays" to everyone. Be careful.

This Saturday evening Santana Claus will wrestle for the IWA at Night of Champions 2 in Crooksville, Ohio.
My schedule is as busy as ever. Tonight I will make an apperance at my wife's Christmas party. I will be there for 45-minutes. My son and I will go directly to his wrestling practice. Tomorrow evening will feature more wrestling practice. Thursday evening is my son's school Christmas play. Saturday morning it is off to Sizzle practice. Saturday afternoon I road trip to the Cyrus Poe ranch. Saturday evening is the big IWA card. On Sunday, I will help coach my son in his first wrestling tournament. I really hope his first opponent sucks.

Former Pantera Guitarist Killed on Stage in Columbus Ohio. We live in a sick - sick world. An entertainer - living his dream - is gunned down in front of an audience.

Here is my quick year in review for 2004: January was an amazing month; my football team won the MLFN AA Semi Pro National Championship in Miami Florida. I wrestled for HWA. I wrestled in Texas - Thank you Jim.

In February I wrestled for HWA and flew to Burlington NC to wrestle.

In March, everything changed. I started coaching (offensive / defensive line) the Cincinnati Sizzle. Wrestling dropped off my radar screen.

April, May and June were filled with a lot of driving and very little sleep. I drove more than 1,000 miles between (work and coaching) per week during those months. My son started t-ball. I didn't miss a game.

June and July were awesome. My son and I went to numerous baseball games. We watched games from the home of the Clippers, Reds, Cannons and Pelicans. My son met, got autographs, baseballs, a broken bat, and photographs with/from various minor league baseball players. My wife and I attended a Barenaked Ladies concert. Tragedy struck as a local wrestler, Chief Bootknocka collapsed and died following a match. In August, my son started playing football. It was interesting to see 5, 6, 7 year olds strap on pads and go play ball. The first episode of Faberville landed on the internet and was very well received.

In September, my wife and I agreed to foster 2 (2 year old and 10 month old) small children. I (with the Pledge) wrestled Slammin Sammy at the final IWA Gym Wars. Faberville's web site was launched.

In October, Faberville released "Cyrus vs. the Alien Mutant (from outer space)". My son finished up his football season with a loss in the championship game.

In November, Faberville released "The Chase" and "Crap-Mation". My son started wrestling practice. I am helping coach the team of K through 6th graders. Though honestly, I spend most of my time beside my son helping him.

It is now December. Cyrus and I will form a tag team once again in a couple of weeks at IWA's Night of Champions 2 event in Crooksville, Ohio. It will be a very gimmicky match. It could be my last match. I do not know. I do not care. There are so many more important things in life than wrestling. It has been nearly one year since the world lost a beautiful and giving person -

This is the story of Faberville's very first Thanksgiving as told by 5-year-old Steel Mattis. The story is presented using cutting technology patented by Faberville. Introducing, crap-mation! Crap-mation is similar to animation only really really crappy. Click here.
