Life can change in an instant. This weekend proved that. I have not decided whether or not to post the gory details. The short version: Me hurt bad. Me on crutches. Me not happy.

Semi-pro football is like indy wrestling, there is a team / promotion in almost every town. Some promotions / teams are a lost cause. Some promotions / teams know how to operate a higher level. Click here to read about my decision to play football.
I had a good Easter weekend. My brother-in-law, an Army officer and Westpoint graduate, returned from Kosovo.
Hearing him tell stories about the quality of life in Kosovo certainly makes me grateful for everything I have in my life.
He risks his life in foreign lands to protect freedoms that so many Americans take for granted.

Freedom of speech is a 2 way street.
Actor Tim Robbins was invited to participate in a Major League Baseball Hall of Fame event. Tim Robbins (similar to many other celebrities) has made numerous anti-war and anti-Bush statements. The Hall of Fame rescended Tim's invitation. This angered Tim. Tim feels his right to freedom of expression has been infringed. To read the story go to Yahoo News Story.
My take? We live in America. People are free to do and say what they want. Tim Robbins and the rest of the left coast are FREE to say whatever they want. Likewise, the Hall of Fame is also entitled to FREEDOM. They are FREE to invite and uninvite whomever they choose. Freedom of expression is a two way street. No one forced Tim Robbins to insult President Bush and the war. No one forced the Hall of Fame to uninvite Tim Robbins. Tim Robbins choose to make a statement. The Hall of Fame choose to make a statement of their own. That is freedom.
2003.04.14 This was an incredibly rough weekend. I have not been this physically drained in a long time. I still feel like I am in a haze. But, onward and upward. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty.

During the packing / unpacking / moving process I stumbled across something interesting. Wrestling is full of lies and deceit. Wrestling is full of dishonest people. Promoters and wrestlers are all a matter of perspective.

I have been stewing over the "Football vs. Wrestling" decision for some time.
I received an inspirational message from Cyrus Poe:
in the infinite words and wisdom of towelie..... "I CHOOSE BOTH!!"
play football, wrestling will always be here to crush your spirts.
At the football practice on Sunday, the coach said a few things that really resounded with me.
"You are not going to play in front of 1,000 fans. You are not going to make any money. The only reason you should be in this room is because you love football."

I have been sitting here pondering an update all morning. Should I update? Should I wait? What should I do? I wish I could post positive news. I wish things were simple enough that I could post "THE OMEGA RETURNS!" or "THE HIATUS CONTINUES". I will make a decision, one way or the other, very soon.
I love wrestling and I miss the fans. I miss the interaction. I miss getting butterflies 2-minutes before my match. I miss the adrenaline rush of hearing my music play and the instant reaction it cultivates from fans.
My heart is with wrestling.
My head keeps pushing me toward football.
