I felt the need to post something. So, here is something... I am completely drained and overwhelmed. You know what? I have to suck it up and do the work that needs to be done.

On Sunday, we competed in the Portage Lakes Triathlon. This race served as the Wheelie Fun Series Championship. We are still waiting for the official point totals to be posted. However, for the series, it appears as though: my wife took 2nd place in her age group (don't ask), I took 2nd place in the Clydesdale 2 (big guy in a little suit) division, and Cie took 1st place in his age group (14 & under).

Congratulations to Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinnes on signing contracts with WWE. I first met Nigel about 7 years ago when we were both wrestling for HWA. Nigel is an extremely friendly and down to earth guy. Nigel was already and experienced pro working his way up the card. I was just happy to be on the card.

Nigel and I have only officially wrestled one time. He and I squared off a few years ago at an HWA TV taping in Cincinnati. I had a great time wrestling against him. The fans hated me. They loved Nigel. I had fun. What more can you ask for?

Quick update... I attended a wrestling event last weekend. I saw a lot of old familiar faces. It was nice to see old friends and catch up on "the good old days". With that said, I can say with absolute honesty, I in no way felt the urge to get in the ring.

Cie had his first soccer game of the season. He played ok. After the game, I found out he played most of the game on a broken foot. He is now in a walking boot. He still plans to complete the triathlon series championship race this coming weekend.

High school football season is under way. We dropped our home opener 33-19. That was disappointing. We went on the road and won in week #2 by a score of 44-6. We face the toughest game of our season, thus far, this Friday night at home.

Fall quarter classes start on Wednesday. I am taking 2 graduate classes, coordinating the strength and conditioning program at the high school, and serving as an assistant coach for the football team. Oh yeah, I am also trying to be a good dad and husband. The next couple of months will be physically and mentally draining.
