Track season is upon us. Nine weeks of striving to improve running, jumping, and throwing form in young athletes. I love it. I think I enjoy training young athletes (early teen) more than older (late teen) athletes. The reality is... by the time an athlete is 16, 17, 18 years old the window for drastic improvement has largely closed. It is really cool to see a 12-year-old learn how to use an agility ladder or develop running form. Watching the athlete continue to hone those skills over several years can be amazing.
Kids at school tell me that the movie,
Act of Valor is awesome. I do not generally base my opinion or viewing habits on what teenagers think. Teenagers tend to see the world much different than I do. Nonetheless, this looks like a movie that could be good.
