I actually have something to say that is wrestling related. I discovered a WWE internet show called Are You Serious? and it is hilarious. It is Mystery Science 3000 meets pro-wrestling.
Last night, my son and I watched Batman - The Dark Knight Rises. I have to be honest, it was... ehhh. I loved Batman Begins. I really liked The Dark Knight. This was easily my least favorite of the 3 Christopher Nolan Batman films. Easily.

I have to share a "proud dad" story. My soon to be 8th grade son attended a (football) quarterback camp. There were 50+ area junior high quarterbacks at the 3 day camp. My son, @BeastieMattis was used as the primary demonstrator/leader of drills all three days. On the final day of camp, the camp director approached me and commented on the boy's performance. His comments were, "Obviously he is the standout quarterback at the camp that is why I used him to demonstrate everything. He is smooth. He is something else."
At the end of the final day, there was an accuracy competition. There were 4 pvc targets set up at varying distances. The QBs were assigned a specific set of footwork for each target. The QB to complete the most throws through the targets would be declared the winner. @BeastieMattis won the competition and a t-shirt in a final round sudden death matchup. It was an awesome 3 days for him. As a dad, it was great to see him have success and hear the words from a very prominent high school quarterback coach.
Today, I took the boy to water polo practice. After practice, the whole family headed to the theater to watch Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. The summer of sequels continues to roll on. I really have nothing else to add there. Ugh.

I was able to take the kids to see The Amazing Spider-Man. Good film. It delivers some quality fight sequences. There is some emotional stuff in the film... which helps. The kids enjoyed it. I can't complain.

Summer vacation is coming to and end for me. Football camp kicks into gear tomorrow. I have a precious few non-football days left between now and November. I hope to make the best of them.
I was on vacation in Kentucky for the past week. Who vacations in Kentucky? Anyway... I did manage to watch 2 movies. I saw Ted and Magic Mike. I had really high hopes for Ted. I was disappointed. I thought Ted was horrible. I know this sounds less than manly but, I thought Magic Mike was better than Ted.
My son served as QB for a Dayton area team. He travelled to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete in a 7 on 7 tournament. It was a rough day but, he and his teammates got better as the day went on.
