Time to shut things down for the fall. Life is extremely busy. I can't say the things I would like to say. So, it is better to say nothing.

The past three weeks have been a blur. High school football two-a-days have made for long days. The high school participated in two scrimmages. The regular season starts this Friday. Wohoo.
Cie is preparing to enter 7th grade. He is playing football this fall. He has not really played since 3rd grade. He planned to play in 4th grade. He made it through conditioning and participated in a scrimmage and the first game. Then, in practice, he received a grade 2 concussion... That concussion ended his season and affected him heavily for close to 6 months. Now, 3 years removed from the concussion, he is giving football another try.
In reality, the concussion was a blessing. It forced Cie to stop playing football and try other things. Cie played soccer and basketball. Cie competed in triathlons. He has experienced success and had fun.

My 3 kids participated in a Fun in the Sun Triathlon. My 4-year-old twin daughters were happy to finish the event. They are having fun learning to work hard. My 12-year-old son enjoys events like this as an opportunity to see the fruits of his hard work. Cie placed 4th overall among 11-14 year-olds and 1st in the 11-12 age group. Cie made a race highlight video that can be viewed here.
