I have been involved in athletics in some form or fashion most of my life. When I was a child in elementary school, junior high, and high school, I competed in the following sports: football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, and track. At the collegiate level, I was (briefly) a walk-on to the football team. I spent the brunt of my collegiate life as a cheerleader and a gym rat.
In college, I set many personal weight lifting records including: 365 lb power clean, 285 lb. military press, 350 lb. bench press, and 550 lb. squat. I continued to lift heavily after graduation through my pro-wrestling career.
As a pro-wrestler, I was very interested in body-building. I bulked up to about 240 lbs. I drank protein shakes and ate hard-boiled eggs to fuel my body.
Now, I am over the age of thirty. I no longer want to carry a lot of extra bulk. I have entered the next phase of my athletic life.
My focus is now on developing a stronger, healthier heart. I participate in more cardiovascularly challenging events. I am running 5ks, trail races, and competing in triathlons. I am now keeping my weight between 210 - 220 lb.
The links to the left identify some of the resources I use to train myself and train others. Listed below are some of my athletic/exercise related credentials.
