I am really digging the band Skillet. Several of their songs are on my phone for listening during workouts. I really enjoy Awake & Alive. Speaking of workouts, my workouts are all over the place. I have some good days, medicore days, and bad days. It seems the medicore days are taking over. Everything I do hurts. I don't mean muscle pain. I mean, joint pain. My knees and back are in a bad spot.
If all goes according to plan, I am going to see the Avengers movie today. I saw the movie last weekend with my twin daughters. It is not often that I get to see a movie twice. Each of my kids have their favorite hero. I do too. Captain America symbolizes everything that a hero should be. He does not have the character defects of Iron Man or Thor.

My son attended a water polo practice this morning. This is the second time he has attended practice. They finished practice by taking shots on goal. Well, my son got his turn, from 20 feet away he rocketed the ball toward the corner of the goal. The goalkeeper lunged to the side and attempted to block the shot. The goalkeeper stuck his arm out and in the direct path of the ball. The ball ended up in the back of the net. Score.
After the practice, the goalkeeper walked past me. He was telling the story of the shot on goal from his perspective. He excitedly told his mom how he positioned himself to block the shot and he outstretched his arm. He excitedly explained how the impact of the ball left his hand completely numb. His elbow popped. His shoulder hurts. The ball went through him as though he wasn't even there.
That was just funny.

The middle school track and field season is nearly over. A lot of action gets crammed into a short amount of time. As we approach the end, it is cool to see how far many of the athletes progressed. In the upcoming week, the athletes will compete in the conference championship meet. They have a good chance to place well and be successful.
My son and I ventured to Columbus on Sunday evening to see a concert. This was his first real concert. The bands, in order of apperance were: Sandlot Heroes, Freshman 15, Patent Pending, and Bowling for Soup. I had never heard of any of the opening acts. I was impressed with the energy and fun that Patent Pending brought to the stage. I don't know why, but one of their songs got stuck in my head. The concert ended at midnight. We then had an hour drive home. I have to get up at 6 to get ready for work. Not going to lie... Monday morning was a bit rough.
