I am stunned by the passing of Chris Benoit and his family. Completely stunned. After Eddie Guerrero died, I posted this commentary. It is worth a quick reading.

Friday evening I took Mini-Mattis to see ROH in Dayton, Ohio. Personally, I love ROH. Mini-Mattis was bored. We ended up leaving before the main event. As it was, we did not get home until midnight.
Funny story... Friday evening, at ROH, Mini-Mattis and I had just walked in. A couple of mid-20's guys introduced themselves. The one guy said, "You look really familiar. Are you the kid that introduced AJ Styles last week?"
I have been wrestling in Ohio for 8 years - they had no clue who I was. But, Mini-Mattis introduced AJ Styles one time - 400 miles away - and people know him. What the heck? The boy is more over than I am. I grounded him for good measure.
Next Thursday (7/5) night, I climb in the ring to face Chris Cruit for the IWA US Championship. There are a couple of stipulations for the match:
1) I am not allowed to chop Cruit. A chop will result in an immediate disqualification. I agreed to that because...
2) If Chris Cruit leaves the ring (both feet touch the floor) it is an immediate disqulification.
If a match is 10-minutes long, Cruit usually spends 6-minutes stalling on the outside. That will NOT happen next Thursday. I will beat him to death with forearm shots and the infamous lariat. Maybe he will become the second person to feel the Mattis Driver.
If you are within 100 miles of Chillicothe OH next Thursday evening - you need to be at "The Backstage" so you can say, "I was there the night Chris Cruit died."

"The Omega" Mark Mattis faces TNA star "Wildcat" Chris Harris in Columbus, Ohio.
Mini-Mattis and I will leave the house at 6:00 am tomorrow to make the drive to Nashville for TNA Fan Fest. Five hours in the car with an 8 year old should be a lot of fun.
Mini-Mattis continues to do well in baseball. After another solid night, he is now reached base in 23 out of 27 at bats. Last night, he had a nice line drive to centerfield that was a two run double. Another 'only a parent would care' note, Mini-Mattis received Special Honor Roll (straight A's) again and has applied for entrance into the 'gifted' program.
"Wildcat" Chris Harris was in Thursday (6/7) nights TNA iMPACT main event against James Storm seen across the nation on Spike TV. Saturday afternoon, "Wildcat" Chris Harris squared off against me. Below are some YouTube highlights from the match. Enjoy!

One down and one to go. I survived my match with Jimmy Malloy. Jimmy is a big kid.
He doesn't move real fast, but he hits real hard. I say 'kid' - Jimmy has been wrestling for proably 7 years.
He is an experienced pro. With that said - chalk up another "W" for the Omega.

I plan to dig into the bag of tricks and open things up... do some things I haven't done in years.
