It is 47° outside and raining. It is a bitter cold rain. MO refuses to stay inside. He set up hurdles and cones. He is doing agility drills outside.

Yesterday, we ran a 5k (3.1 miles) in Xenia, Ohio. The race was intended to raise awareness and funds for
Huntington's Disease. I didn't know much about the disease prior to Saturday. For those who do not know anything about, click the
link.
After the race, we headed to Kings Island. The twins had never been to KI. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There are several rides in the Nickeloden portion of the park for 2-yeaqr-olds. They got to ride bumper cars, a Dora The Explorer thing, a Swiper swing-thing, a foam pit, a haunted maze, and a whole bunch of other stuff. A good, albeit exhausting, time was had by all.
Junior High football season has come to a close. The awards banquet is this Wednesday evening. It should be an oddly entertaining evening for reasons I can not adequately explain. That being said, I am going to miss a lot of young men.
The pee wee football season continues to march on. The playoffs begin next week. It is amazing how much lower my stress level is since MO is unable to play. His injury has been a mixed blessing.

MO is not out of the woods recovering from his concussion. He is typically an "A" student. His interim report came home with two "F"s. He has been producing some bizarre answers on his homework. We made yet another trip to the doctor. He is scheduled for a neuralgic/psychiatric evaluation.

The upcoming movie, Sex Drive looks hilarious. If I were able to go see movies, that is a movie I would want to go see. But, I can't... so, I will stay at home and watch "Momma's House" reruns. I wonder when they will make a big screen version of "Momma's House"? They are making a 90210 second generation tv show. They should bring a "Momma's House" the next generation TV show. Who WOULDN'T watch that?
On Saturday, I ran a 5k for the first time in over 2 years. Mini-Omega set a personal best in a 5k by over a minute. My wife pushed a stroller with our two-year-old twin daughters... and beat me by 2 minutes.
A disappointing junior high football season is winding down. We have lost the team and I don't think there is any way to fix it before the season ends. We have a lot of questions and not many answers. We will learn from this and strive to get better. Getting beat by 30 and 40 points each game is quite humbling.
Mini-Omega has been battling headaches since suffering a grade 2 concussion a few weeks ago. The headaches finally subsided. He seems to be getting back to normal. I don't care if he never plays football again - I just want him to be healthy. I was really disappointed by the injury. How wrong does a 1-on-1 practice drill have to go for a 9-year-old to end up a grade 2 concussion? ... I will leave it at that.
A simple rule to live by: "Do what is right - all of the time."
