I am sure many of the folks who read my blogs disagree with me. Feel free to email me and tell me why. I only ask that you provide sources and not "I think" arguments. Everything I am writing about is supported multiple sources. To read my first two posts on the subject:
part 1 and
part 2
I have spent a fair amount of time and energy writing about "Cap and Trade". At the feel good, "we must stand up for mother earth" ideas is that man-made climate change is destroying the planet. I will try to keep this as brief as possible. This is about "cap and trade".
In the 1970's some scientists believed that man was destroying the earth as a result, the earth was gradually cooling.
Global cooling never really took off.
Click here is a more detailed story.
In the 1990's, the eco geeks decided that man-made global warming was destroying the earth. Science does not support that notion.
A team of scientists found that natural variability in the Earth's oceans will "temporarily offset" global warming from carbon dioxide. Seventy percent of the Earth's surface is oceanic; hence, what happens there greatly influences global temperature. It is now known that both Atlantic and Pacific temperatures can get "stuck," for a decade or longer, in relatively warm or cool patterns. The North Atlantic is now forecast to be in a cold stage for a decade. (

Did you catch that? We are in another cooling stage. The earth is actually once again getting cooler. Eco geeks do not want to admit that man is not somehow destryoing the earth. So, realizing the global warming does not exist, they are changing the term to "climate change". The have no idea if it is getting warmer or colder or if we are having any impact what so ever.
Here is a good quote... "We cannot even accurately predict the weather a week from now, how can we believe we can predict what will happen 50 years from today?" (
source)
Japan and Australia are among the countries that are now questioning and providing data that man-made global warming does not exist. Here is a
Wall Street Journal article about Australia debunking climate change. Japan pulled no punches in making their case.
Click here to read the translated findings of Japanese scientists. Don't believe the Japanese or Australians? Fine. Our own EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, recently supressed a report that debunked global warming and warned that we not make hasy carbon emission legislation.

Global warming is... at best... on sketchy ground. At worst, it is complete fraud. Now, on to "cap and trade"...
"Cap and Trade" is disguised as a "climate change" bill. "Cap and Trade" will have ZERO impact on "climate change". "Cap and Trade" will serve as the final nail in the coffin of the struggling U.S. economy. "Cap and Trade" will bankrupt many American farmers. "Cap and Trade" (by President Obama's
admission) will bankrupt U.S.-based coal mines/plants/businesses.
I know... I know... you don't care. You just want us to be more "green" friendly. Well, since our farmers will be bankrupt and the one's that aren't bankrupt will have to sell their crops at a much higher price to survive... where do you think the U.S. will get their food? Answer: Overseas. I hope you like food
imported from China. Well, at least we won't have coal plants in the U.S.. Right. Instead, we will be more reliant on buying coal from foreign countries.
I know going "green" has a feel good quality to it. But, aside from reading a couple of headlines, is anyone thinking through how all of this is going to play out?
