Spring quarter is more than half over. Classes are going well. No complaints on my end. I have several more heavy papers to write in the next few weeks.
The boy made his little league baseball debut this weekend. His team (the Cardinals) got pretty well thrashed. It was 13-3 going into the final half inning of play. The team rallied in the bottom of the sixth inning to make it 13-7. Then, MO (Mini-Omega) struck out to end the game. He was definitely disappointed.
Truth be told, MO did well. I am happy with his debut performance. In a one at-bat, he stole 3 bases. He walked, on the next pitch he stole second base. On the subsequent pitch, MO stole third base. On the next pitch, the ball passed the catcher and MO hesitated before retreating to third base. The coach told MO, "It is up to you. You have to make the decision."
On the next pitch, the ball again passed the catcher, MO did not hesitate, he successfully stole home.
MO was 1-2 hitting with two walks, 4 stolen bases, and 2 runs scored. That was not a bad first game by any stretch.
