A whole horde (about 12 of us) attended the TNA House show in Troy, Ohio this past Friday night. Mini-Mattis had a good time. All of the kids had a good time. My quick recap/results of the show can be found at
Pro-Wrestling Insider.
I saw a lot of familiar faces bouncing around in the crowd. I saw Hunter Matthews aka Vandal from IWA glory days. I saw Tommy Blaze, Big Jim Hutchinson, Roger Cox and Maniac Mark from the Dayton wrestling scene. I saw Alla from HWA. It was great to see so many familiar faces. I have posted a couple of video clips from the house show on YouTube.

On Sunday, Mini-Mattis wrestled. It was a rough day for Mini-Mattis. During his second match, he got up ended and came down hard on his head. The match was stopped. After some discussion, I was able to convince Mini-Mattis to wrestle his third and final match of the day. That did not go well. Mini-Mattis got beat in the first period. Ugh.
It is hard to watch him wrestle. There has not been much balance in opponents. In the past three years, Mini-Mattis has wrestled exactly 9 matches. All 9 of those matches have happened in the past three weeks. He is new to wrestling. He only knows a few moves.
The majority of the kids he is facing at tournaments are
clearly more experienced. The number of moves these kids can pull off in the blink of an eye is impressive.
Mini-Mattis is taking in stride and doing what he can to learn from these experiences.
