TNA X-Division contest featuring Petey Williams against Johnny Devine. The innovatitive x-division is what sets TNA apart from other promotions.
I know there are a million fantasy booking perspectives on TNA and how to get them over the hump. I am not interested in all of that. TNA iMPACT recently moved to two hours. TNA has an amazing collection of talent. TNA has an excellent product. Unfortunately, the product is not always displayed in a riveting manner.

On a weekly basis seemingly half of the segments involve TNA Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle. The tag team champions and X-Division champion may or may not get a segment each week.

Let us assume for one minute that the two-hour broadcast (120-minutes) is broken down into twelve 10-minute segments. Of course, 3 out of every 10-minutes is designated for commercials, but that is not completely relevant to this point.

TNA has four championships; world title, x-division, women's title, tag team titles. TNA could map two segments in each episode of iMPACT for the x-division, tag division, and women's division. The world title is the main selling point of the promotion. Each episode of iMPACT could devote four segments to the world title.

Now, there are two segments left for "at-large" programs. These two segments could center anything from grudge matches, hardcore matches, to simply introducing/establishing new wrestlers.

To give some further example of how the segments would breakdown:

X-Division
(01) Senshi vs. Petey Williams vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Kaz in a number one contender's match.
(02) Backstage vignette/interview with "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt.

Women
(03) ODB vs. Awesome Kong
(04) Gail Kim (c) vs. Roxxi

At-Large
(05) Abyss promo
(06) Relik vs. Black Reign

Tag Team
(07) AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. LAX
(08) Motorcity Machineguns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Team 3D

World
(09) Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode with Miss Brooks
(10) Booker T. vs. Christian Cage
(11) Kurt (c) and Karen Angle vignette with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall pt. 1
(12) Kurt (c) and Karen Angle vignette with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall pt. 2

I am not suggesting any of the above as 'fantasy booking'. The matches listed are done so simply to serve as an example. Using the layout above, 30 different performers received airtime. Beyond the fact that these folks received airtime, they were in segments that furthered that character or progressed their story.

Mad Pro Wrestling (MPW) will be in Chillicothe, Ohio on December 5th, 2007. This will be Mad Pro's final show of 2007. Mad Pro consistently brings in some of the top indy names. The December 5th card will be no different.

'The Omega' Mark Mattis and Shawn Harding take on Jon Moxley and Cody Hawk in tag team action.
The current line up:
"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson VS. Jon Moxley
**MPW Heavyweight Championship Three-Way** Mad Man Pondo(c) VS. Necro Butcher VS. Drake Younger
**MPW Tag Team Championship** Irish Airborne(c) VS. TBA
*Special Females Match* Hailey Hatred VS. Mary Elizabeth
Tracy Smothers vs. Sam Hane
Plus: Super Oprah, James Wallace, Aaron Williams, Tommy Chill, OMG, Cyrus Poe, Sami Callihan, V.L. Stricklett, & MORE TBA!

The highlight of the card is an appearance by "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Danielson is most known for his incredibly stiff work as champion in Ring of Honor. Danielson will be in the ring with Jon Moxley. Moxley is a 23-year-old phenom.

I had the chance to wrestle against Moxley this past April in a tag team match. Click here for some of the video highlights from that match. Jon Moxley is a tremendous young wrestler. Moxley and Danielson should have an excellent match.

The other match of interest to me features Hailey Hatred. Hailey Hatred is a solid wrestler. I was wrestling with HWA when she first started training. She worked extremely hard. She and I were pitted against one another in practice matches on more than one occasion. She is tough. She can dish it out and she can take it. I still remember her nailing me with a northern lights suplex that popped the training facility. Her hard work has been rewarded with bookings all across the U.S. and tours of Japan.

It should also be noted that Cyrus Poe and Tommy Chill (The Black and Blue Crew) are also slated to wrestle. That means one thing - some people are going to get beaten up. What else could you ask for?

I assume that the IWA has an event in Chillicothe, Ohio on Thursday December 6th. Sadly, the IWA website is still promoting August and September events. I have no idea what is going on with the IWA. So... ummm... yeah.
