Pro Wrestling Illustrated compiles an annual list of the top wrestlers in the world. This list is commonly referred to as the PWI 500. The 2006 list was released last month. It was a pleasure to see a couple of familiar names on the list.
Shark Boy of TNA fame is listed at number 225. Shark Boy was my tag team partner for a HWA youth football fundraiser in June this year. Congrats, Shark Boy!
Also on the list was one of my opponents from 2006. Climbing all of the way up to number 47 is Nigel McGuinness. Nigel is currently a top player in Ring of Honor. Congrats, Nigel! (Although, I still think his English accent sounds completely fake.)
It was another (mostly) good weekend of football. To recap:
Bantam Rams
It was a horrible and sloppy game. The Rams trailed 13-7 with 1:36 to go in the 4th quarter and 60 yards of field ahead of them. Three plays and 17-seconds (yeah, the officials were that good) later, the Rams scored and won 14-13. The Rams had 2 earlier touchdowns negated by penalties.
3rd Grade Rams
I don't know what the final score was... but they won. I believe their record is 4-0-1. They are a good group of kids.
4th/5th Grade Rams
They have been dominating all season. This weekend, against the rival Cedarville Indians was no different. The 4th/5th Grade Rams took care of business. They are now 5-1 on the season.
5th/6th Grade Rams
It took a while for the team to find itself. We lost our first four games of the season. We got shut out in all for games. The team appears to have turned the corner. We have won our last two games including a victory over the rival Cedarville Indians.
HS Rams
The high school team had a rough night. We will leave it at that.
NCAA Ohio Bobcats
The Bobcats dropped 3 straight games. The Western Michigan Broncos entered Peden Stadium last Saturday only to be corralled. The Bobcats won! The Bobcats are now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the MAC. The Bobcats face Big 10 powerhouse, Illinois this weekend. (Yes, that was sarcasm.)
NFL Cleveland Browns
The "improving" Browns lost to the Carolina Panthers and drop to 1-4 on the season. Thank goodness for the bye week. The Browns have a lot of decent players. But, the team is not producing results that anyone can be proud of.
