Bachelor living

Mini-Omega

My wife and son went on vacation. They enjoyed a few days swimming and sightseeing in Florida. I stayed home to take care of the dogs, cats, and coach football. Oh yeah, I get to pick up the tab for the trip. Sound fun? I didn't think so.

Two weeks ago, we saw "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit". That was a thoroughly enjoyable film. I am a big fan of claymation.

This past weekend, as part of my bachelor life, I watched "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" by myself on sweetest day. Jealous? I thought not. The film was actually quite good. I thought the subtle elements made the film more moving. I am not sure - but I might rate "creepy" factor higher than "The Ring".

On Sunday, Cyrus and I attempted to work on Faberville. That plan came to atragic end as the Columbus Marathon ran right next to our filming location. *Le Sigh*

There are only 2 games left in the high school football season. Wohoo! Yeehaw! I am a little excited. I do not see eye-to-eye with some of the other folk involved. It is not my team. It is not my vision. The head coach deserves someone who does believe in his vision. He deserves an assistant that understands his philosophy. I am grateful for the opportunity to coach. I am glad I had a chance to work with teenaged athletes.

Happiness is overrated.
