Update

Columbus Clipper's centerfielder John Rodriguez Wrestling:
Wrestling is on the backbruner. I have not accepted any bookings. I am not accepting any bookings. I do not know when I will start to accept bookings again. Possibly mid-July. But, that is not set in stone.

Football:
I am not going to play football this Summer. I simply do not have time. I was part of a team that went undefeated and won a national championship 6 months ago. I can leave football with my head held high.

My wife is playing football for the Cincinnati Sizzle. I am the offensive / defensive line, special teams coach. Our first scrimmage is this Saturday. I am filled with nervous energy. I have spent hundreds of hours over the past 5 months working with these ladies. I am nervous / excited for them.

Family:
We added a new member to the family. Last Saturday, we "adopted" a beautiful 6-month old grey (dog) weim. He is already 55 pounds. He is a bundle of fun and energy.

My son's b-ball season is over. That means less driving for me. Wohoo! He is supposed to start pee wee football in August. He can't wait. He and I will continue to take in minor league baseball games. He has been lucky enough to meet more than 2 dozen minor league baseball players in the past few months.

Friends:
We have friends visiting from out of state. We only get to see them a couple of times per year. It will be great to see them again. Yardbird!

Night of the Living Dead Fun:
Between watching minor league baseball games and old horror movies, there is not much "free" time. In the past month, I have seen "Van Helsing", "Shrek 2", "Garfield", and "Dodgeball". I also watched "The Rundown", "The Italian Job" and "The Perfect Storm".

Last night, I finished watching the original (1968) "Night of the Living Dead". That movie achieved a great deal of suspense with very little delivery of special effects. I am a sucker for a well told story. That goes for wrestling or movies. My wife says that I only enjoy movies that lack happy endings. I say I like movies that are creative and do not follow the typical hollywood plot line.

Yardbird!
