Well, that sucks.

sick

2004.04.12
I have been unbelievably busy as of late. I am putting right at 1,000 miles per week on my car between work and football. I have been scary-tired. It finally caught up with me.

Last Sunday, I woke up at 5 AM feeling crappy. My throat was sore and I had a massive headache. No time for sickness! We plowed on with our plans. We left the house at 10 AM and did not return until after 11 PM. By the time we got home, I was tapping out.

The alarm went off Monday morning at 5:30 AM. My wife asked if I was going to get up. I thought about it. After a few minutes, I decided to sleep in. I decided I was too sick. Monday had highs and lows. I slept a lot. I didn't feel too bad.

Tuesday morning I woke up at 2:30 AM and could not sleep. My throat felt as though it were on fire. I was freezing. After what felt like an eternity, I got cleaned up and drove to Columbus. I tired to work. I couldn't do it.

I ended up going to urgent care. I had a temp of 101.9 and massive aches and pains. They weren't sure if I had strep or the flu. Just to be safe, they gave me a shot and loaded me up on drugs. They also instructed to stay away from work (sitting behind a desk) for a few days. No strenuous activities permitted for at least a week.

I slept lots and lots. My energy level is still pretty low. I had to cancel all activities for the week. I did not wrestle on Saturday. I rested.

This week I slowly (try to) return to normal activity. I hope my body will let me. Rough week. I wouldn't even wish this on Shank Dorsey.
