It was really... ehhh.
Sunday morning, I woke up early. I was making breakfast for my family at 7:30 AM. After a hearty breakfast, we headed to the gym. I did cardio and lifted weights. I had a solid chest work out.
In the early afternoon, Cyrus and I headed down to Cincinnati to wrestle for HWA. This marked my 3rd consecutive HWA, Stripped Down Sunday event. Thus far, 2004 has been a roller coaster ride. There are tremendous highs and frightening lows.
In the main event, the BBC took on Deuce and "Buffalo" Brian Jennings. Things started off pretty well. But, our experience proved a bit too much for Deuce and Buffalo. A few minutes into the match, we had Deuce cornered. We were able to tag in and out at will. We controlled the action. Unfortunately, we made some poor choices. We should have been able to pin Deuce. We should have been able to place one finger on his chest - get the 3 count - get the victory. It didn't happen. We beat on Deuce for close to 20-minutes. Deuce was sucking wind. Deuce was hurt. Deuce was ready to give up. You could see it in his eyes. We made a couple of poor choices. End result? We ended up losing the match. It sucked.
Yesterday, my wife gave me an early birthday present... "Simpson's Hit and Run" for PS2. I sat down and played the game for a couple of hours last night. It is so cool. I like this game a lot. You can sit down and play a mission in 5-minutes. You can go back and replay missions. You can wander aimlessly. It is totally sweet.
This will be a wild weekend for me. Friday morning I catch an early flight to North Carolina. I will spend all of Friday and Saturday wrestling for the Independent Wrestling All-Stars in Burlington, North Carolina. I will likely end up wrestling somewhere between 6 and 12 matches in a 24-hour span. Saturday night, I will be tired - sore - stinky. I was fortunate enough to get a late flight back from North Carolina Saturday evening. So, I should make it home to my own bed Saturday night. Wohoo!
Yardbird? *sigh*
