Yes, Virginia... it is true. After an extended absence from the ring, "The Omega" Mark Mattis will appear at a wrestling event this weekend. I am scheduled to make an appearance for the IWA in Columbus Ohio on Sunday August 31st. For information about the event,

The IWA has changed greatly in the past year. Many IWA veterans have moved on to new promotions. A whole new crop of wrestlers is champing at the bit looking to make a name. For the most part, they are a young and inexperienced group.
A few "old timers" still call the IWA home. Homicide (not that one) is on the prowl. Hunter Matthew's and Elliot Michaels have several years of experience. Chris Cruit stands as the IWA Champion. Surprisingly, the furnace in HELL is still operational. Of course my former tag team partner and one half of The Fraternity, "The Alpha Male" Zach Avery is still part of the IWA.
Football
This past weekend the Central Ohio Lions traveled to Union Indiana to play the Randolph County Rage. To quote DDK, "I hate me some Indiana."
The Rage started the season 3 - 0. They looked hungry and strong. In week 4, they faced a huge challenge by the Miami Valley Panthers. They lost. In week 5, they were angry. They sought vengeance.
On their second series of offense, they delivered a late hitting to our outside linebacker... breaking his ankle and tearing all ligaments. His foot was facing the wrong direction. It was gruesome.
After our linebacker was taken from the field via stretcher, they marched down the field and scored a TD. The game was tied at 7.The only points they would get all night.
As a team, we got angry. We took it up a notch. We decimated the Rage. We scored a touch down on every offensive possession in the first half. By halftime the score was 36 - 7. Our 1st offense only played 1 series in the 2nd half. The final score was 50 - 7.
As a side note:
The Rage has a phenom running back. His name is Curtis Enis. Curtis was the featured back on the 1996 Big Ten Champion Northwestern team. He was a first round draft pick of the Chicago Bears. He stayed with the Bears for a few seasons before a knee injury ended his NFL career.
September 13th
The Central Ohio Lions will be on the road again. We make the drive to South Bend, Indiana home of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. South Bend is also home to last season's CRFL championship team, the South Bend Stampede.
They are an excellent team. They are 1 of only 2 teams in the league that could beat us. If we win this game, we will have home field advantage through out the playoffs. This is the biggest game of our season. I can't wait.

Well, the posse is scattered all over God's green earth.
Al B. Damm is representin' big time. He is doing very well. Last I heard, he was working on an NWA TNA tryout match. Good luck ABD!
Shank Dorsey is recovering from surgery. I am sure he is getting plenty of "zingers" to ease the pain.
Secret Agent Bill is fighting the good fight in Washington D.C.
