NEWS & NOTES

Packing and moving.

On Tuesday, March 25th 2003 at 11:00 AM we officially sold our home. The experience still seems like a bit of a dream. I kept signing documents until my hand was sore. At 2:00 PM we signed the papers officially gaining a new home. Nearly every free minute is spent packing boxes. This weekend, EVERYTHING MUST GO! After this weekend we will be totally moved.

Several fans have emailed me in the past few weeks to simply say 'hi' and wish me well. THANK YOU. I appreciate the emails. It means a great deal to me.

2 new pictures were added to the media section. The photos were taken at an HWA event this past August.

In other news...

A semi-pro football team practices 10-minutes from our new home. I love football. I miss being a part of the action. I miss being a part of a team. The football team tryouts / practices start in 2 weeks. I would love to play football. The window of opportunity on football is closing. Guys 18 to 25 dominate these leagues years old. I am simply getting "too old" to play football. If I want to play, it has to happen NOW.

The flipside of this.. I love wrestling. I have worked my butt off for the past 3 years to become a top tier wrestler. I have invested thousands of dollars, thousands of hours, endured nicks, scrapes, cuts, scratches, injuries of every sort to climb the ladder. I have paid my dues. The door will ALWAYS be open to return to wrestling. Hogan is 50 and he can still get in the ring. Flair is 50 and he can still get in the ring.

I am torn. I am not sure what I plan to do.

Football
    Pros:
  1. Team atmosphere
  2. Seasonal activity (5 months)
  3. Close to home
  4. The window is closing
    Cons:
  1. Starting from scratch
  2. Expensive equipment

Wrestling
    Pros:
  1. Individual effort
  2. Connections (friends & fans)
    Cons:
  1. Never an off season
  2. Long drives

Right now, my head tells me that I would be better off to play football. It is a more rational choice. I would only be gone on weekends during the summer. The drive and time away from my family would be less significant. My heart is telling me to go back to wrestling. I honestly do not know what I am going to do.
