There are a lot of times that I use this website as my forum to vent on the state of "sports entertainment". There are a lot times that items I post are negative. Today is not one of those days. Today is a happy feel good day. Sit back, relax, and grab a cup of hot chocolate.

"The Omega" Mark Mattis is getting a little 'love' from wrestlings print media. The Wrestler publishes a top 10 list for major wrestling promotions. They have a top 10 for WWE, OVW, HWA, NWA-TNA, Japan, Mexico, etc. They ranked "The Omega" as #6 in HWA. The latest issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated has compiled a similar list. In the PWI list, "The Omega" ranks (HWA) #5.

I have been asked to be the subject of an interview on an Italian wrestling website. I am not Italian. I do not know Italian. The website is entirely in Italian. Thank God they can translate. It will be the first time I have been interviewed for a foreign language website.

"The Omega" Mark Mattis was voted "the greatest IWA U.S. Champion of all time" in a recent internet poll. This is flattering for a number of reasons. I no longer regularly wrestle with the IWA. I wrestled 1 match for them in the past 3 months. I have not held the IWA U.S. Title since May 2002. The choices were Damien Kass, Al B. Damm, Mark Mattis, Brad Shultz and Bull Miller. Fans do not like me. Fans adore Al B. Damm. Yet, I picked up 41% of the votes and won by more than a 2 - 1 margin.

A couple more videotapes are due to be mailed out to fans this week. As you may have noticed, there is not a "merchandise" section to this website. Nonetheless, some fans continue to e-mail me in hopes of buying matches on tape. I appreciate the requests and find myself spending more and more time filling these requests. Thank you.
