2002.09.23 Last night I wrestled at Jillian's Nightclub in Covington Kentucky. I drove to Kentucky. There are things I thought I would never do in life. I never dreamed of driving to Kentucky. It will take weeks for me to get the smell out of my clothing and off of my flesh.

As regular visitors of the web site know, I have been taking some time off. I have not wrestled or even set foot in a ring the past several weeks. Real life is more important than wrestling. As it stands, my family is separated by about a 100 miles of highway. We do not get see one another at all during the week. The weekend is the only time we have together. Wrestling events are almost always on the weekend. So, I have to choose wrestling or family. Family will win every time.

Anyway, I received a phone call last Monday asking me to be a part of the HWA TV taping in Covington, KY. After several minutes of discussion I agreed to appear. I voiced my concerns about being in Kentucky. I had a wonderful time with my wife and son on Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon I drove to... Kentucky.

Cody Hawk has been the HWA Champion for the past few months. I got the feeling he was ripe for the picking. I had a feeling that the title would not remain around his waist much longer. I was right. Unfortunately, Matt Stryker pinned Cody Hawk at the Tuesday Night Showcase. Matt Stryker is the new HWA Champion.

Cody Hawk has wrestled and beaten WWE developmental wrestlers. He has probably beaten every man on the HWA roster at some point. He has held several championships within HWA. He was the HWA Champion less than one week ago. Last night was my first match against one HWA's big boys.

Cody has a bum wheel. He apparently banged up his leg pretty badly. I don't know how he did it. Honestly, I don't care how it happened. I saw weakness and I went after it. Cody was begging for mercy. He was nearly in tears by the end of the match. He lay in a heap clutching his leg. I destroyed Cody Hawk. I dominated him from beginning to end.

I proved to everyone in attendance and those who will see it on TV, I can hang with the big boys. I will make a name for myself in HWA. I guarantee it.
