Has anyone else noticed that since ECW and WCW went out of business, there isn't nearly as much dirt on the net? There aren't many exciting tidbits coming out of WWE. Anyway, on with the show.
On Friday evening, HWA was in Fairborn Ohio. It was a nice facility. The crowd was alive and ready. It was a quality event.
I wrestled against Matt Dillinger. This is the second time we have squared off against one another in singles action. Matt comes from Tennesse. He has been wrestling for a few years. He has been with HWA for a little more than 1 year now. I can't say enough about his ability. I made some small mistakes and he capitalized on them. It was a frustrating night.
I am looking forward to getting a copy of the match on tape. I need to watch that match to find out what went wrong. I busted my butt. I worked hard. My effort fell short.
I don't have much time to dwell on the loss. This Saturday (August 3rd), HWA will be in action in Englewood Ohio. I need to regroup and refocus my efforts.
After a hard weekend of wrestling and training I decided to relax and unwind. I visted the local movie theater and saw "Austin Powers: Goldmember". This is a funny movie. I will be honest, I do NOT like Austin Powers. If the whole movie were just different scenes with Dr. Evil I would be sufficiently pleased. Austin was tolerable. Dr. Evil is a genius! All of the characters devloped nicely. It was a good story.
Although I am left to wonder where they plan to go from here. Mike Myers is contracted for 3 more Austin Powers flicks. I hope they didn't hotshot too many angles in the hope of increased ratings. It will be interesting to see how the next film is booked.
There are a lot of good movies in theaters right now. I hope to see a few more movies while they are still in theaters. It is a challenge to find time for everything I need and want to do.
Until next time, take care.
