Yet another busy weekend for "the Omega" Mark Mattis. Originally, the plan was for "The Fraternity" to battle "The Poe Boys" in tag team action. As is some times the case, "The Alpha Male" Zach Avery had a little too much to drink Thursday evening and was in no condition to wrestle on Friday night. So, I ended up facing Cyrus Poe in a singles match. In the old "Shark Dorsey ratings method, on a scale of "1" to "10" with "10" being the greatest match ever and 1 being a "Bad" Brad Shultz match, this was a solid "5". It was average. This should make for an interesting TV match. The finish was totally unique. I can honestly say that I have not seen a match end this way in a long - long time.
I generally don't mention much about my in-ring practice schedule. I went into Sunday's 3-hour practice somewhat bruised but feeling pretty good. Holy-shnikey. We do an "amateur drill" just about every week. It consists of intense amateur (high school / college) wrestling. I usually do fairly well for myself. Over the past several weeks I have heard stories about how good Allah is at the "amateur drill". Guess who I was paired with on Sunday? Allah is one tough hombre. I was able to hold my own largely due to my size advantage. Shortly thereafter someone else challenged me. So, I got double duty on "amateur drill".
I work hard during "amateur drill" unlike some people. Logan Caine totally sandbagged the drill. He was letting some one half his size treat him like a 2 dollar hooker on nickel draft night. Of course, it isn't fair to pick on Logan. He does have a serious medical condition. It seems that doctors have yet to find a way to keep sand out of his vagina. I will give him credit, after I mocked his effort (in the drill) he unleashed some stuff I have never seen and destroyed the other guy.
In other news, I take my hand off (Tyson reference) to Carlton Kaz. Carlton and Bruce the ref made a long arse drive this weekend for a big card. Carlton had a shot the NWA Tri-State title against Magnum. The match took place at NWA Wildside in Georgia.
For those that keep track of inane facts, Dale Johnson lasted 1 month as a weight lifting partner. Way to go Dale!
Anyway until next time... take care of yourselves
