2002.06.06
This Saturday (06/08/2002) in Mansfield Ohio, "The Fraternity" will be in action against "The Repeat Offenders". "The Repeat Offenders" have been on top of the IWA tag team division for most of the past year.
"The Repeat Offenders" are multiple time tag team champions. They allowed Carlton Kaz to slip in the middle and destroy their friendship. Homicide and Vandal went to war over Carlton Kaz. Homicide and Vandal decided to settle their differences once and for all with a "retirement match". The loser of the match would be forced to retire and leave the IWA. Little did they know that it was a set up.
Carlton Kaz interfered in the "retirement match" causing a double disqualification. Both men technically lost. Both men were forced to retire. Carlton Kaz, by proxy, became one of the tag team champions. He selected a partner, Fabulous Frederick of Hollywood.
Homicide and Vandal are Rhode Scholars and figured out that they had been set up. Homicide and Vandal patched up their differences. They were able to convince the "IWA Spin Machine" to reinstate them.
"The Repeat Offenders" immediately went after Carlton and Frederick. In a controversial match, Kaz and Frederick kept the titles.
That is some confusing crap. It is tough to follow. You would need a marker and a teleprompter to diagram how everything happened. It is an amazingly screwed up situation. That is where "The Fraternity" comes in to play.
Zach Avery and I debuted together in the IWA in April of 2001. That was 14 months ago. We have paid our dues. We have worked our butts off. We have wrestled everyone from "The Minionites" to "The Poe Boys". We beat "The Minionites". We beat "The Poe Boys". We beat "The Riot Squad".
None of that matters. "The IWA Spin Machine" does not like "The Fraternity". "The IWA Spin Machine" has overlooked us each and every card for the past 14 months. We have never received a shot at the IWA tag team titles.
Anyway, the situation disgusts me so much I can't stand to finish this column.
Later.
